WHITAKER’S LANDING IN DOWNTOWN SARASOTA

Despite its proximity to Downtown Sarasota, this desirable land on Sarasota Bay just south of Whitaker Bayou remained entirely undeveloped until late in the 20th century. In the 1990s, developer Frank Cameron Lambert built Whitaker’s Landing as the most private, high-end type of gated community.
