GRANADA POSITIONS YOU IN EXQUISITE, TRANQUIL FLORA WITH PROXIMITY TO DOWNTOWN SARASOTA AND BEAUTIFUL SIESTA BEACH!
Positioned just south of Downtown and West of Trail, Granada offers a unique lifestyle to everyone who lives within its subdivision. Many homes have architectural designs that would be considered bungalows or Spanish revival dating back to the 1920s; however, the homes in Granada vary greatly in size, shape, and age. Modern construction homes do appear quite frequently alongside older construction homes.
The neighborhood of Granada was originally founded and planned by Charles Tyson in 1924. When he envisioned the blueprints for space, Tyson drew up a neighborhood that featured wide streets with a central park around which the complex would revolve and thrive. Bonita Park is that circular park that all the homes of Granada rotate around. At Bonita Park, there are limitless amounts of flora and foliage to observe and a stunning fountain that gives the park a tranquil peaceful atmosphere.
For families with school-age children, Granada is also in one of the best school districts in the area, featuring schools such as Southside Elementary, Brookside Middle, and Sarasota High School. Granada allows a variety of types of people to live a comfortable lifestyle; retirees, families, singles, and executives among others all coexist peacefully there. For avid shoppers, Southgate Mall—only minutes away—provides many great stores to explore such as Macy’s, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Dillard’s, and also the Cinebistro where you can watch a movie and have an amazing meal.
With its close proximity to Downtown Sarasota and the causeway leading to Siesta Key, residents of Granada will have quick access to fantastic beaches and exciting urban entertainment! Downtown Sarasota offers some of the best gourmet restaurants and sophisticated fashion boutiques in town. While Downtown, you will also want to check out shows at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall, the Florida Studio Theatre, and explore Marie Selby Botanical Gardens.
If you are craving a day at the beach, then Siesta Key Beach rests only a short drive over the causeway. Siesta Key Beach is consistently recognized for its sparkling, azure waters, and white quartz sand beaches; in fact, it ranked one of the top ten beaches in the United States multiple years by “Dr. Beach”. For the cycling enthusiast, it is also quite reachable by bike from Granada’s location.
