Sarasota National
SARASOTA NATIONAL – GOLF COURSE IN WEST VILLAGES
Sarasota National, a W.C.I. Community hosts the only golf course within the West Villages. However, the community is divided into two sections, one being the Golf Course section and the other (non-golf) being the Lakes section. So you do not have to join as a golf member to enjoy the magnificence of Sarasota National! The development itself sits on 2400 acres, with a massive 1300 acres set aside as a National Audubon sanctuary preserve, making Sarasota National the lowest density community of the West Villages. The preserve area of Sarasota National is by itself 30% larger than the entire community of Gran Paradiso! Homes will never be built on this 1300 acre preserve, ensuring natural beauty in perpetuity for generations to come.
Many choices abound for both sections. On Lakeside, offerings include Patio homes with 2 different floor plans, Executive homes ranging in size between 1677 and 2935 square feet, and Coach homes (condos) at 6 units per building, each with a 1 car garage. On the Golf side, you’ll find Luxury Executive homes, Luxury Estate homes at up to 3184 square feet, and Carriage homes (condos) similar to the Coach homes on the Lakeside but at only 4 units per building. 2nd-floor units, at 2152 square feet are slightly larger than 1st-floor units (1833 square feet), due to the garages for both being on the 1st-floor level. A selection of options and upgrades are available to help you customize your home in colors and finishes to suit your personal tastes.
The entire community is maintenance-free, and the HOA fee includes lawn care, cable tv, and luxurious amenities such as tennis, pickleball, bocce ball, a fully-equipped fitness center, resort-style pool, poolside tiki bar, social activities, coffee shop, and a full-service dining room and cocktail lounge in the Palm Club clubhouse. Golf members also have access to a pro shop, driving range, and a private clubhouse with dining and “the 19th Hole” bar and lounge. HOA fees are slightly higher for the golf side, at $500 per month, compared to $300 per month for non-golf member residents.
At the present time, the golf course is open to the public, but at build-out completion, it will become a private course, open to members only.
Whether you love to golf, or whether prefer the private splendor of nature and wildlife and the vast open spaces of living in a National Audubon sanctuary preserve, Sarasota National is the first and only choice for you.
