The Florida Studio Theatre is beloved by many residents of the Sarasota area…
…Especially those that enjoy escaping to the metropolitan streets of Downtown Sarasota to dine at one of the many gourmet restaurants in the district and then take in some wonderful productions and some of the most exciting acts in the country. The newest act at the Florida Studio Theatre is called “At The Hop” performed by The Alley Cats, a highly acclaimed a cappella Doo-Wop group that is currently opening for Jay Leno in Las Vegas. However, some of the guys in the group will be packing up and performing in person, especially for you, at the Florida Studio Theatre from June 10 to July 16.
This event marks The Alley Cats’ 25th anniversary celebration and will feature nostalgic pieces of music from the 50s and 60s, delivered with comedic flare that will engage any audience. Young and old audience members will adore The Alley Cats’ renditions of several popular songs including “Rock N’ Roll is Here to Stay” and “Duke of Earl” among others, according to the Florida Studio Theatre website.
If you are looking for a one-of-a-kind experience that will take you back to the wit and charm of the 1950s and 1960s, then At The Hop is a great show to see. The event will take place in the John C. Court Cabaret at the Florida Studio Theatre. To make your night even more special, visit one of the great restaurants near the Florida Studio Theatre before the show or after the curtain falls. A few wonderful restaurants nearby include Selva Grill, Café Epicure, Bijou Café, and CasAntica. Dinner and this wonderful production would be perfect for a date night or a night on the town with close friends.
